The music you are listening to is liberali fatali, one of the reasons this is a great game. The music is simply
spectactular. As is the storyline. Romance plays a big part in this game. Stoic squall is transformed into a loving person
who cares about others by the happy ,if a little precocious, Rinoa.
First of all you see the wonderful beginning scene where you are fighting with your arch-rival, the rebellious Seifer.
This ends in matching scars that end up with you in the infirmitary wing. You live ina place called Garden. It trains
people to be members of SeeD who basically are hired mercenaries who kinda keep the peace between various countries. Your
exam is coming up and the young instructor Quistis Trepe takes you to fire caven where you gain Ifrit.
Then it is on to Dollet, your team consists of the firey and energetic Zell Dincht, famous for his tattoo and amazing
Martial Arts. And of course your leader is the quite nasty Seifer. He is older and therefore thinks he is better. He never
passes the seed exams and has taken it many times. After a fight into the city you are sitting and dying of boredom when you
see Galbadian forces sneeking up to the com. Tower. After following them a messenger called Selphie( cheeky, cheerful and
VERY annoying) has a message for your leader. Unfortunately for her he had jumped off the cliff and battled his way into the
tower. You followand are attacked by Biggs and Wedge, then a monster but the com. tower has already been activated.
Selphie delievers her message and then it is a race against time to get back to the ship in 20mins! As you leave you
are attacked by the fearsome robotic spider and have to run for the ships whilst Quistis attacks with the super-cool machine
gun on the ship. Back to Garden it is then.
You pass with flying colours but Seifer doesn't (big surprise) then it is the SeeD party where you meet Rinoa, dance
with her and fall in love of course. But she runs off leaving Squall alone and looking very depressed. He is invited to the
secret "make-out" area in the training centre by quistis (I know you are all thinking wayhay get in there Squall) but she
just wants a shoulder to cry on. Why on earth she picks Squall I'll never know. He ain't the emotional type and of course
he is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. She runs off and you go to bed.
Next is your mission to Timber on the flashy train. You all faint however and are transported to another world where
you Laguna, Ward, Kiros and control them. Much to Squall's disgust he gets Laguna and regulary mentions this. You follow them
round then are taken back to the train. When you get to Timber you discover your mission. To help the rebillion lead by none
other thn Rinoa. You kidnap the president of Galbadia then discover you've been tricked. Cue battle with disgusting monster.
You escape and discover a message from Quistis. Seifer escaped from the Garden and he tries to kill the President (hinkin
he is helping)and then Zell mentions Garden and gets told to shut it by Squall, it's too late though as he has heard. Then
Seifer walks off and meets Edea. They both vanish after he agrees to be her "knight" Edea, is a powerful Sorceress. Your
next mission is to assinate her. This fails and she attacks Squall with an Ice strike through what appears to be
his heart. He goes flying off the float, Seifer laughs Rinoa cries and then it faeds to black.
You awake trapped in a prision and through some amazing feat manage to escape with the group splitting in two. One is
sent to warn Garden of the missiles that Edea has sent to destroy both Trabia and Balamb garden as punishment. The other is
sent to the military base to stop the missiles. This group fails but activates the self-destruct mechanism. Then they get
trapped, is it the end of them? I bloody hope so, Selphie is very annoying.
The others reach Garden and activate the old escape system and arden is mobile. You can't control it though and crash
into Fisherman's horizion where you find the others and learn how to control the garden. You take part in a concert to celebrate
Squall becoming Headmaster and Squall goes ona sort of Date with squall. He decides the best course of action is to attack
the also now mobile Galbadian Garden. Rinoa being the silly thing she is fall off the edge and Squall has to recue her, You
go to attack Edea in Garden but something weird happens and you discover edea was being possessed, then Rinoa faints and doesn't
wake up. Squall is devastated obviously and Edea says she wants to go see Dr. Odine to quell her powers. Squall takes Rinoa
and has a lengthy converstation that shows how emotional he really is. Very sweet but when they arrive in esthar they have
a funny fainting spell and when they awake Dr. Odine has decided It would be best for Rinoa to go to his space station and
so you jet off leaving her dog zell, Edea and the rest on earth.
Whilst in space the lunar cry happens which sends thousands of monsters to earth and captured the freed evil sorceress
Adel who is freed by a possessed Rinoa. Then she is left floating. You meet Ellone who is the one who sends you back in time
and you decide you must help Rinoa. The space station is evacuated and a race against time begins to save Rinoa. If you manage
it you find the Raganok, an old rocket floating in space. Once there you discover it is populated by space monsters which
you and Rinoa kill before heading to the bridge. You are set on a course for home and the gravity is turned off to save power.
Cue corny music and a long romantic scene between Rinoa and Squall with him holding her. Then you find out she is a sorceress
and is to be locked up for the saftey of everyone. Squall is very upset but lets her go being the stubbon fool he always is.
Whilst this has been happing the Lunatci Pandora (a spaceship controlled by seifer and Galbadia) has gone over the city
which is monster-ridden and it captures the now thawing Sorceress Adel. Rinoa is taken to the sorceress memorial and her powers
sealed. But Squall decided she means a lot to him and saves her. Cue another romantic scene. They attack Lunatic pandora and
defeat Adel and Seifer. You find out a Sorceress called Ultimecia is trying to achive time compression with Ellones powers
and so you travel to the future and defeat her. Everyone is lost in time and Squall comes out at the old orphange where they
all lived. He tries to find them but belives he is alone. He lands on a rocky island and walks to the dges only to discover
nothing. and collapses.
Meanwhile Rinoa is on a similar flowerfilled one looking for Squall. Then a feather floats down in front of him and he
sees Rinoa dancing and pointing. Images flash each distorted as if he can't remember her face anymore. It goes faster and
faster till you see Rinoa is space, her glass visor breaking and a tear falls down his face as he falls backward into white
light.
Then yous ee Rinoa again, she sees Squall lying on the island and picks his head up resting it in her lap. She calls
out to him but he doesn't respond, is he dead. She obviously thinks so and starts to cry then she is transported to a field
and looks at him in hope? Is he still alive? Then comes a video camera recording of the party, Zell choking on his beloved
hot dogs, and Irvine flirting with the ladies. Then it zoom in on Rinoa on the balcony apperantly talking wiht someone though
you cannot see them. She smiles and poitns up smiling. The end or is it?
If you wait till the end of the credits then you see Rinoa on the balcony again and pointing again. Then the camera turns
and you see Squall (yay he ain't dead!) who smiles (!) and then pulls her towards him and snogs her face off as it pans out
to show the Garden over a moonlit sea. aahhh sweet.
